Transport to Woolwich is already good but it’s getting better! The new DLR extension, estimated to complete in 2009, will connect directly to London City Airport and Canary Wharf.

The go-ahead for Crossrail will link Woolwich with Maidenhead and Heathrow in the west and Kent and Essex on the east. Once this new service is complete the Isle of Dogs will be less than 10 minutes away and the direct journey to Heathrow just 50 minutes.
